Welcome to the Brighton & Hove Arts Commission website. The Arts Commission is made up of prominent members of the arts and creative industries community in Brighton & Hove.
The Arts Commission was established in December 2004. During the last two years it has proved itself an effective partnership body, taking on a leadership role for the cultural sector in the city and promoting our position as the leading cultural city in the South East.
The Brighton & Hove Arts Commission is involved in a range of activity. It develops policy, raises funds, provides advice and delivers programmes. It forms part of the City's family of partnerships.
DO SOMETHING DIFFERENT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT...
The Arts Commission presented its very first White Night in Brighton & Hove in October 2008, to mark the end of British Summer Time and to use the extra hour when the clocks went back, by doing something different!
You could wander through the Royal Pavilion to the magnificant sounds of the Brighton Philharmonic, go for a midnight swim to underwater music at the Prince Regent, dance the night away at Komedia, expand your mind a the Phoenix and enjoy bedtime stories in the Library.
There was much to offer and most of it was FREE!
