creative brighton logo Creative Brighton was born out of the belief that Brighton and Hove offer an exceptional and unique environment in which the creative industries can flourish.

Creativity is at the heart of the city; from a new design graduate determined to set up a small business, to a global gaming company with over 1,000 employees, through to England's largest arts event - the Brighton Festival.

Creative Brighton's main aim is to act as a catalyst for those working within the creative industries in Brighton and Hove. Whether it's bringing people together through a networking event, offering support to a business relocating here, or lobbying for a new workspace, Creative Brighton will support enable and promote the creative industries in Brighton.

In 2007 Creative Brighton launched its brand new web site: www.creativebrighton.co.uk

This brings together a huge amount of sector specific information on the creative industries, its networks and available business support. It is updated twice a month with current news and opportunities. If there is something you want to know about the Creative Industries in Brighton, this is the first place to look! It also has a free to subscribe listserve attached to the site, enabling business to business and peer group communication.

Creative Brighton continues to work at a strategic level to influence the Brighton and Hove environment, and is undertaking a range of work to promote the thriving creative industries sector.

Funding

In 2005, Creative Brighton was successful in gaining two year funding from the Area Investment Framework (AIF). The money was used to support a range of projects within the different sub-sectors.

The Programme had four strands; developing Creative Brighton, cluster development in six industry areas, provision of specialist business support and careers pilot projects in three schools. This programme of support ends in March 2007.
