Help with viewing and downloading content

All the documents on our website are free to download and are either PDF, MS Word or MS Excel files.  If you are having trouble saving or opening a document, the following guidelines will help you.

Adobe Reader - PDF documents

Most of the documents on this site, such as reports, application forms, magazines and brochures are in Portable Document Format (PDF).  These files will have "PDF" in brackets within the relevant link. 

To access a PDF file, all you require is a piece of widely available software called Adobe Reader. Most new computers come with this software already installed. If you do not have it you can download Adobe Reader free of charge. 

If you use screen reading software or other assistive technology, the Access Adobe site offers support and tools to help you access PDF documents.  For more information visit the Access Adobe website.

MS Word documents

Some documents on this site are in Microsoft Word format.  These files will have "MS Word" in brackets within the relevant link.  To view these documents you will need Microsoft Word.  If you don't have a copy, you can download the MS Word Viewer free of charge.

MS Excel documents

Some pages on this site include spreadsheet files.  These files will have "MS Excel" in brackets within the relevant link.  To view these files you will need Microsoft Excel.  If you don't have a copy, you can download the MS Excel Viewer free of charge

Viewing and saving PDF, MS Word & MS Excel files

To view PDF, MS Word or MS Excel documents simply click on the relevant link and the document will display in your browser window.  To save a document to your computer, PC users right click and select "save target as", Mac users control-click and select "download link to disk".
